GAコースでは、６月20日の放課後、スタンフォード大学国際異文化教育プログラム（SPICE）のディレクターであるGary Mukai 博士をお迎えし、特別集会を行いました。
集まった70名近くの生徒は、Mukai 博士からスタンフォード大学のSPICEが提供する２つのオンラインコース（Stanford e-Japanおよび「本校用のグローバルヘルスに関するオンラインコース」）についての分かりやすい紹介を受けた後、本題である「グローバルマインドをどのようにして身につけるか」について、非常に興味深いお話を聞きました。
博士によれば「しっかりとした知識をもつ」「効果的なコミュニケーションの力をつける」「世界の国々は相互依存関係にあることを理解する」「多角的な観点から物事を見る」「新しい考え方を追求することにも心を開く」の５つの要素が最重要であり、何とそれらはすべて「グローバルヘルスに関するオンラインコースを履修することで身につけられます、ということでした。Gary Mukai博士は、本校の国際教育推進の最大の支援者のお一人です。

Special Assembly for the GA Course Is Held
Inviting Dr. Gary Mukai, Director of the Stanford Program on International and Cross-Cultural Education (SPICE) of Stanford University, the school held this year’s first Special Assembly for the GA Course.
After his informative guidance on Stanford University and two online courses offered by SPICE, namely Stanford e-Japan and the SPICE/Stanford e-Course on Global Health for Takatsuki Senior High School, nearly 70 participating students in the course were given a very interesting talk on his main topic, how to develop a global mindset. He said what’s essential were the following five elements; strengthening content knowledge, working on effective communication strategies, appreciating the interdependence of the world, considering multiple perspectives, and increasing the openness to seeking new opinions, surprisingly all of which are satisfied by taking the e-Course for Takatsuki High School! Most participating students seemed to enjoy his talk very much. Dr. Mukai is one of the biggest supporters in the promotion of Takatsuki’s global education.
